Admission Requirements & Application Guidelines

Welcome to Arik College!

At Arik College of Applied Sciences & Health Technology, we are committed to raising highly skilled professionals in health and applied sciences who will transform communities across Nigeria and Africa.

Admission is now open for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. Below are the requirements for each program level.

 General Entry Conditions

  • Applicants must possess valid O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE O’Level).
  • Results must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • All candidates must undergo the College Entrance Examination / Screening Interview.
  • Required documents: Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age, State of Origin Certificate, Medical Fitness Report, and recent passport photographs.

 Certificate Programs (e.g., Health Assistant)

  • Minimum of 3–4 O’Level passes, including:
    • English Language
    • Biology or Health Science
    • One other science subject (Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science).

👉 Ideal for students seeking an entry-level foundation into the health sciences.

 

 National Diploma (ND) Programs

  • Five (5) O’Level credits including:
    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • Biology or Health Science
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
  • Credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • JAMB/UTME may be required for selected ND programs.
  • Performance in Arik College entrance examination is compulsory.

👉 ND programs prepare you for professional practice or progression into HND.

 Higher National Diploma (HND) Programs

  • National Diploma (ND) in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of Lower Credit Pass (Pass with 2+ years’ experience may be accepted).
  • At least one (1) year supervised Industrial Training (IT).
  • Five (5) O’Level credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Official transcript and reference letter from previous institution.

👉 HND programs offer advanced professional training and career specialization.

 Bachelor of Science (BSc) / Top-Up Degrees (Future/Partnership Programs)

  • Same five (5) O’Level credits as ND.
  • JAMB/UTME subject combinations as approved by JAMB.
  • Minimum UTME cut-off score as announced yearly.
  • Direct Entry: ND/HND in a relevant discipline with at least Lower Credit.
  • Screening test/interview required.

👉 These programs will be run in affiliation with accredited Nigerian universities.

 How to Apply

  1. Obtain Application Form – available online on the College Portal or at the Admission Office.
  2. Submit Required Documents – O’Level results, birth certificate, state of origin, and medical fitness certificate.
  3. Take the Entrance Exam – date will be communicated via SMS/email after registration.
  4. Screening & Interview – shortlisted candidates will be invited.
  5. Offer of Admission – successful applicants will receive admission letters and enrollment guidelines.

 Important Notes

  • Admission is strictly by merit.
  • False information or forged documents will lead to automatic disqualification.
  • Fees and programs duration vary by department.
